How did the name come about? That is a question often asked. If you know the film industry, many projects develop, while few take off into production. The Silk Wasp was the title of a feature length script that got shelved after another project took off in its place. The name had a punch to it. It was dissonant and had a fitting correlation to title a cutting edge creative production company - to have the empathy and understanding of an audience (silk), yet the sharp wit and drive of a Madison Avenue ad firm (wasp).
